Dora The Explorer is an extremely popular children's pre school television series featuring Dora Marquéz and her friends as they go on a quest, usually to help someone in trouble or to do a good deed for someone.  The name Dora is taken from the Spanish word 'exploradora' which means female explorer.  Dora and her friend Boots the monkey solve many puzzles, clues and adventures together.  Boots is extremely enthusiastic and often wears nothing but his boots hence the name, Boots.  Dora likes sports, she plays baseball on a team with her best friend Boots and is coached by her father.
