Fireman Sam is a stop-motion capture children's animation television series featuring Fireman Sam the local hero and his fellow firefighters.  The television programme follows the adventures of Fireman Sam and his fellow firefighters in the fictional Welsh town of Pontypandy which is actually a mix of two Welsh towns; Pontypridd and Tonypandy.  The origial idea for Fireman Sam came from two retired firefighters in Kent, they approached channel S4C who seeing the potential, commissioned it.  Fireman is still very popular today and has become one of the world's most famous children's firefighting heroes.
